Although an asphalt driveway requires a minimal amount of maintenance, it will need maintenance from time to time. Crack filling is by far one of the most important steps to take in prolonging the life of your asphalt driveway or parking lot. When cracks in the pavement go untreated, it allows water to penetrate into the sub-base. Water penetration is a major cause in premature pavement failure. Not only are cracks destructive but they are unsightly and uninviting.

The products that are used for asphalt crack repair are important as well. Not all products perform the same so watch out for cheap products.

When we perform crack repairs we use only top quality products to ensure the asphalt crack repair is done correctly.  The material is heated until it melts then applied to the asphalt crack requiring repair. This allows the rubber sealant to form a strong bond between the sealant and the asphalt surface.

Straight and major cracks will benefit the most from the hot rubber product, as it will adhere properly to those cracks. When alligatored or deteriorated areas are “filled” with rubber, it does not adhere properly to the surface.
